I'm Sean. I've been painting for 23 years. Commercial, industrial, residential, feature finishes, epoxy floors, coatings inspection — I've done it all.

I built The Honest Painter because the industry is full of people who don't know what they're talking about selling things to people who do. Paint calculators that don't account for doors. Price trackers with no real data. Websites that cost $5,000 and look like they cost $50.

The tools on this site are free because they should exist and nobody else built them right. The calculator uses real coverage rates. The price tracker uses verified Alberta retail data. No affiliate links. No product endorsements.
