1. Services

The Honest Painter™ ("we", "I") provides digital services including website design, brand packages, business document templates, paint calculators, and price tracking tools. Services are operated by Sean Morin, sole proprietor, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

2. Business Launch Package ($995)

• Includes: 5-page website, brand package (logo, colors, fonts, brand bible), business document templates (price list, service agreement, invoice, estimate, supply checklist).
• Turnaround: approximately 2 weeks from receipt of deposit and required information.
• One round of revisions included. Additional revisions quoted separately.
• Additional pages: $100 each.

3. Payment Terms

• Deposit: $495 CAD due upon agreement to proceed. This is a non-refundable deposit that secures your project slot and covers the initial design phase.
• Balance: $500 CAD due upon delivery and client approval.
• Payment method: Interac e-transfer preferred. Credit card available upon request.
• All prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes.

4. Deposit & Cancellation Policy

• The $495 deposit is non-refundable once work has begun.
• If the client cancels before work begins, the deposit will be refunded in full.
• If The Honest Painter cancels or fails to deliver, the deposit will be refunded in full.
• "Work has begun" means: initial design concepts have been created, domain has been registered, or brand development has started.

5. Intellectual Property

• Upon receipt of final payment, all deliverables (website files, logo files, brand assets, document templates) become the property of the client.
• The Honest Painter retains the right to display completed work in a portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Third-party assets (fonts, stock images) are subject to their respective licenses.

6. Document Templates Disclaimer

Business document templates (service agreements, invoices, estimates, etc.) are provided as templates based on industry standards. I am not a lawyer. These documents are not legal advice. Have a legal professional review any contract before use in your business.

7. Free Tools

The paint calculator and price tracker are provided free of charge, as-is, for informational purposes only. Calculations are estimates. Paint prices are sourced from publicly available retail data and may not reflect current pricing. The Honest Painter is not responsible for purchasing decisions made based on these tools.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Honest Painter's total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for those services. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
